Introduction to BluePogo Email
BluePogo is a bulk email program with a few twists: it's exclusively for nonprofits, easy to use, and priced to encourage use. That's right, we want you to use it, so we don't limit your list size or the volume you can send.
Of course, you still get all the features you'd expect from a cutting-edge email software:

Bulk Email Features in Depth
List Management
In BluePogo, lists are managed through Excel (.xls) files. To create a list file, you simply open up your spreadsheet program, type some column headings in the first row (one of which is an email address column), and enter the records you need. You can also export Excel files from nearly any database program, including Microsoft Outlook.
Once you have your Excel file, you simply upload it to our server. You will be asked to select which column contains email addresses, and then your list is ready to use.
We have provided tools for updating, viewing, and deleting your list files once you have uploaded them. |
Email Template Designer
Once you have a list, you'll need a template to make your email look its best. Our email template designer makes creating a stable, great-looking template as easy as possible.
You can upload your logo or artwork via the image manager for use in a template. The designer works by presenting you with a selection of five layouts that form the base of your template.
After selecting a layout, you can add your logo and use our intuitive color-picking tools to customize it to suit your needs. You can even choose colors from your logo itself. |
Image Manager
Uploading and managing images has never been easier. Our image manager provides thumbnail previews of each image so you don't have to keep track of obscure names. You can also create your own folders to help keep things organized.

Campaign Manager
When you have a list, template, and the images you need, it's time to send your email. This is where the campaign manager comes in.
We've worked hard to make our composition and sending interface look and act like the personal email clients you are accustomed to (with a few additional features you wish your email client had!).
From this interface you can compose the body of your message, add merge fields for personalization, place images with automatic text-wrapping, and modify font faces, colors, and sizes. Links can be added to your email, and multiple articles (newsletter style) will automatically be added to a table of contents.
Once you've composed your email, you simply choose your list and template and click on send! |
Reporting
There are two levels of reporting in BluePogo: basic and advanced, both are included FREE with your monthly service!
Basic reporting allows you to track how many times your message was opened. A nice pie chart will give you an at-a-glance idea of the success of your campaign.
The advanced reporting feature allows you to track who opened your email and when. It also will track who clicked on the links in your message body and when. It's everything you need to fine-tune the success of your campaigns. | |
